During the month of September, the Columbia Restaurants will host their 18th annual Community Harvest.  This program was developed by the Gonzmart family to benefit Tampa-area non-profit organizations.

“We started this program in 1998 as a way to help many of the worthy non-profit groups that are so important to our communities,” said 4th generation family member and president Richard Gonzmart.

The Columbia has locations in Tampa’s Historic Ybor City, Sarasota, St. Augustine, St. Petersburg, Clearwater Beach, Celebration, the Cafe at Tampa Bay History Center on the Riverwalk, and at Tampa International Airport.

Since 1998, the Columbia Restaurant has donated over $1.6 million back to the communities where their restaurants are located.  Customers dining at these Columbia locations during September will be provided a ballot listing the names of several deserving non-profit organizations.  The customer will select the organization of their choice, and a contribution equal to 5% of the food and beverage value will be donated to that organization.
A Kid’s Place has been chosen as one of the lucky recipients for this great program, so please consider making the Columbia one of your dinner destinations during the month of September.  Enjoy a delicious meal, vote for A Kid’s Place on the back of your receipt, and help  make a difference in the lives of foster children!
