The Guardian Society

A Giving Program for A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay, Inc.

It has been a year since we lost our founder and visionary Dottie Berger MacKinnon, but we have continued on in her honor and memory, ensuring that foster children are treated with the care and dignity they deserve.

On February 19, 2015 we celebrated Dottie’s birthday and in her honor launched The Guardian Society, an Annual Giving Program for A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay, Inc.

A “Guardian” is a protector or guard; often, a keeper for children who are unable to protect themselves. Dottie’s legacy of caring and giving to children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned can be supported by joining The Guardian Society.

Generous philanthropic support is crucial to the success of A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay, Inc. With an extraordinary commitment from our donors we are able to give foster children the resources they need. Whether it’s food, a warm bed, or safe and caring arms to hold them, A Kid’s Place can continue to serve the needs of our community’s most vulnerable children.
